Twelve Capital’s ILS Team discuss the outlook for CAT Bonds and the Private ILS market with Investment & Pensions Europe (IPE)

Recent market turmoil has fed the ongoing debate about the need of investors for true diversification. Insurance-Linked Securities have been attracting a growing amount of attention within this debate. Twelve Capital is regularly asked to share its views on the ILS market in the investment press, and we are pleased to share with you below our contributions to two IPE articles published recently on developments in the cat bond and private ILS markets.

In the first article, Dr. Roman Muraviev (Head of Cat Bonds at Twelve Capital) is quoted on diversification across catastrophe risks between different territories and natural perils. A full version of the article – Catastrophe Risk: Earth, Wind & Diversification – can be downloaded here.

In the second article, Sandro Kriesch (Head of Private ILS at Twelve Capital) contributes to the discussion about diversification into aviation, marine and energy risks through private placements and the possible risk/return benefits this could have for investors. The full version of the article – Private Placements and Specialty Lines: “Sound Private Arrangements” – can be downloaded here.
