Previously, Marlene worked for Russell Investment Group, where from 1996 she was responsible for the implementation of the marketing strategy of the firm’s multi manager funds business in London. In 2000, Marlene moved to Johannesburg to start and co-head Russell’s South African business. In 2004 she relocated back to Europe and was made Director of Partnerships and Distribution Alliances for the Benelux and Nordic regions from its Amsterdam office. She left Russell to set up XS Investments at the end of 2006.
